CSX has been named the winner of Toyota’s highest supplier honor for 2019 — the President’s Award for Rail Logistics Excellence.
Presented by Toyota Logistics Services (TLS), the award recognizes the Toyota service partner that best demonstrates combined excellence in quality, customer service, kaizen (continuous improvement) and on-time performance. In addition to the President’s Award, CSX also received the On Time Performance Award, Environmental Award and Kaizen Award.
“Toyota has established a long-respected reputation for high performance standards, and this award recognizes our commitment to go above and beyond for our customer,” said Drew Johnson, head of Automotive/Intermodal Private Assets and National Accounts. “With CSX’s focus on a high performing operating model, we were able to provide the safe, efficient and reliable service that Toyota requires. We look forward to continuing our strong performance and growing our successful relationship.”
Over their 30-year business relationship, CSX and Toyota have shared a mutual dedication to continuous improvement and collaboration. In 2019, CSX handled more than 300,000 vehicles for Toyota.
